Another target of opportunity shot, I'm afraid. I was running late through most of the day (not helped by having to sit for about half an hour in the Medicare office waiting to get a refund of some medical bills dating back up to a year; incidentally, I noticed that the fee for a standard consultation went up by $5.00 in the last year but the rebate amount went up by $0.05, which is a real instance of symmetry for ya), or 15 minutes waiting to bank a $50 cheque from the Lotteries office. (Seriously, have these people not heard of EFT?) But the point is that by this time of the day (a latish dinner) I hadn't taken a PAD and the opportunities were evaporating.
Then I noticed that the water glass on the far side of the water bottle was visible through the crystal clear water and decided to see what I could do with that, in conjunction with my own glass on the near side.
Aside from which the dinner was worth remembering. A little pizzeria called Il Nido in Balgownie, some seating inside, some out. (And clearly we were outside on the walkway.) I'm not saying that it's the best pizza I've ever had, but gods it was good. Soooooo gooood. It's not even a wood fired oven, which is supposedly the holy grail of pizzerias. But these pizzas, I can't imagine being done much better anyway. I foresee further trips to Balgownie in my future.
