It's been a while, but this afternoon Sydney copped a seriously solid drenching. It's been so long in fact that I'd forgotten that one of my pairs of shoes is about as water resistant as a rice colander; specifically, the pair that I was wearing.
Yes, my saturated socks are drying on the towel rail as we speak, thanks for asking.
A thought then occurred to me; a PAD that I had wanted to shoot which would have required someone with a bright umbrella or raincoat, but which I was expecting to have to wait until winter for. So I went into the QVB, pulled the Olympus out of the back pack (it was probably drier in the rain than in the backpack anyway by this point) and dashed back out into the rain on my hunt as we slightly mad photographers are wont to do.
Needless to say, I spotted nobody with the required accoutrements. I did however grab a couple of shots that, while nothing exceptional, will pass muster as a "day to day" PAD of which I chose this one; a range of umbrellas which almost form a continuous roof over the people who are waiting patiently for the changing light.
Most of whom probably had drier feet than mine.
