Scenario: Yellow and white Frangipani flowers (thanks for that one SB) are on a tree which is largely but not completely shaded by another tree. Strong afternoon sun is striking the red brick wall behind, with a little hitting some of the leaves and flowers. My mission, should I choose to accept it, is to find a compromise exposure which will bring out the flowers without blowing the white parts out too badly (or the bricks, come to that), but also without throwing the leaves into excessive shadow.
