Oh, what fun a visit to the doc's is! The stings as the local anaesthetic injections go in, the lack of sting as the incisions do even though you know that they're happening, and when you get home the thought "Hmm, maybe I shouldn't have worn a white shirt today and I wonder whether that pre-wash spray is as good at getting blood stains out as it claims to be". (So the next day's clothing selection? "Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Johnny Cash!")
In case any of you are in the midst of consuming a meal I shall spare you further (gross) details, but what we see here is a collection of goodies from my first aid kit which do indeed relate to the theme of my day. (And which also remind me that I'm well and truly overdue to re-certify.) I used a fill flash to try to emphasise the antiseptic nature of medical facilities, though I'll readily concede that the local still has me feeling a little off balance and this probably won't go down as an exceptionally great photo. On a normal day I'd probably have re-shot to try to get rid of some of the softness and probably would have tried bouncing the flash instead of firing it straight in, but today's not a normal day and I really don't want to do anything more than change the bandage (which came loose resulting in the aforementioned shirt issue) and get to bezzzzzzz...zzzzzz....
