After two days of incandescently sunny weather, the rains returned with a vengeance last night. It has alternated between rain and drizzle for most of the day, and as I type the weather radar shows moderate to occasionally heavy falls right across the Sydney basin as far west as the Blue Mountains and as far south as Batemans Bay. (Both of which I'm really overdue to revisit, as my ridiculously meagre West Of Sydney gallery and ancient South Of Sydney gallery can attest.)
They've cooled the air down a bit, though it's still in the high 20's; a temperature that's not that uncomfortable in itself, but when combined with 91% humidity I'd rather be somewhere else.
Mmmm, 5 to 9 in Vancouver... nice. (Others may not think so and I can sympathise, but believe me February? The heat around here is getting old. Sorry Mairead, I'd send you some if I could...)
I was half hoping to capture some of the rain running off the leaves, but I think that would have required stopping down a little further than I'd like. ({Slaps hand to head}Which is why I have an ND filter that I've yet to use and that would have been the perfect opportunity, D'OH!. Alas, too late now, the light has gone. Something for the future...)
