I was originally planning to do a lot of work with my new polarising filter on this trip to Canberra, but a front of rain and thunderstorms pushed through after the first day. Still, when life hands you lemons…
So one of the things that I did was to take some atmospheric shots of the rain-swept city. The only problem is that I can't figure out whether I prefer the ones where I kept the background in focus and let the rain on the balcony window stay out of focus and form a highlighting prism effect, or, as with its partner shot shown on THIS LINK, kept only the rain in focus and allowed the light in the background to become abstract.
