All runways are closed to air traffic in this photo. Dade County Junior College (renamed later to Miami-Dade Junior College, then Miami-Dade Community College and now Miami-Dade College offering 4-year programs) opened off-site in 1960 and began classes at this location in 1963. A couple of new buildings can be seen in this photo.
