It's amazing that coach service was better back in 1973 than first class is today. This photo shows the forward coach cabin lounge, complete with a standup bar on the right side and seats with table lamps on the left. The center section of United's DC-10's only had four spacious seats in the middle and two spacious seats next to the windows on both the left and right sides of the aircraft. The lounges disappeared a year or two later.
