Notice that the passenger loading bridges have been removed from Concourse B in anticipation of the concourse being demolished as part of the North Terminal Project (new Concourse D). The Miami-Dade Aviation Department B-Tower, occupied by the gate controllers, will also be demolished. This concourse and tower were originally used by Eastern Airlines up until January 1991 when the airline shut down forever.
