As of early August 2024 all galleries together have 1601 species from Ecuador and Peru! 1328 from mainland Ecuador, 68 from Galapagos and 755 from Peru. When viewing the images, bear in mind that they are low resolution 100-150kB each. The high res images are sharper and much bigger. From november 2011 I have written the high resolution size under each image with the the same cropping as the displayed image to give an idea of how big the images can be used for printing without losing quality.
Here is a recent testimony from a viewer in Canada: "I have been stuggling for weeks trying to ID my bird shots from a trip I took to Ecuador last Feb. You cannot imagine how delighted I am to have found your encyclopedic photo galleries! I don't blame you one bit for moving to Ecuador. What a beautiful gift you have given the world. Thank you so much for sharing."
