I have three of these venerable fellows, two of which I still use on occasion for B&W work. It is what I learned on and my primary camera until 2005. They really are wonderful.

This was my workhorse from 1985 up until 1995 or so. What a great camera, but you're right, viewed as a classic by some, but not all. Big Vote for the X-700!!
