c.1961. This is a solid Rangefinder 35mm camera with a good colour corrected lens
(not too common then) from the Kuribayashi Camera Industry of Tokyo, Japan. It was
very popular, and according to various books, about 12,000 were produced each month
for the time it was in production. This particular camera is somewhat rare - it
has a Commemoration Plaque affixed on the top plate, noting a manufacturing milestone.
The camera has special meaning to me. My father only had one 'modern' camera
when he became hooked on 35mm Kodachromes. It was a Petri 2.8 RF. It is also featured
in this collection, complete with exposure meter attached at the accessory shoe.
