Fragrant Harbour
In Motion

*Best viewed in Original*

When trading in exotic scented woods and incense reached its peak here in the 1800's, this
small settlement - established on a deep harbour separating the island from the Chinese
mainland - came to be known as 'Hong Kong' - Fragrant Harbour.

Today, this group of small islands has a population of over seven million people, and is a world
class financial and trading powerhouse. I have been visiting Hong Kong on and off for 40 years,
and it is always the same thrilling roller coaster ride. People, sounds, smells, shops, bargains,
wealth, poverty, food, sights, life!

In these images, I have tried double and triple exposures with slow shutter speed to capture
the frenetic pace and congestion of this remarkable city.

This is a city that never sleeps.

I would say you have done a great job of capturing some of the intensity of life in this city. The two images together really heightens this effect. Fantastic work!!
