Old Wagons
Nikon F2 , Nikkor 1.4 50

I never did find out why so many old carts were left here.
The saltbush is a light grey, and lends an unusual look to the image.
It was a parched, hot, and overly bright scene - the 'Outback'.

This image was made with a Nikon F2 (See Here) and
a 'standard' 50mm f1.4 Nikkor lens. The F2 was
the last of the F series before electronics "took over" !
For metering, you do need a small button battery,
but other than that, this camera is as solid
as a tank! It will become as collectible as the
early Leica models, in my opinion.

other sizes: small medium original auto

Typical Nikon. Excellent rendition, but just doesn't resolve like a Leica or Zeiss.

Excellent image, the light, shadows, toning, and composition, it´s all there! ~V~
PS! And they don´t build great cameraes like that anymore in my humble opinion.

I miss my F2...stolen in college. I am going to have to have another, though I am hooked on medium/large format.

I gave away a F2 when I thought I wouldn't be doing film any longer. It was my copy stand camera way back in the day.

Goyder surveyed the area in a bumper year.
Farmers pushed too far north and then the droughts came.
Many properties were abandoned along with the equipement.
