A Stairway to Memories.

McClellanville, SC

Best viewed Original size

Another image from my old faithful Flexaret which I have been using for almost 52 years. This was my 'student TLR'.

There is some barrel/perspective issue here - my fault as the TLR had to be tilted
slightly upwards, and I also placed the tripod a few inches right of center I think.
The viewing glass is just plain, getting a trifle cloudy, and there are no focusing aids as such.
I know ... excuses, excuses, excuses.

The 'joggling board' on the right was much too long to get the other leg into view.
In an ideal world, I would have moved the board, and placed another chair there.
Sometimes, it is what it is. :-)

Flexaret IV TLR, Meopta Belar 1:3,5 f=80mm, Fuji Neopan 400

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I love it! The strength of the blacks to the purity of the whites...I wish I could create such beauty. ~V~

The ages paint really adds the right bit of contrast.

I admire your skill and patience still using film to create your beautiful images. A REAL work of art. I take the easy road with digital but really admire the work of the older cameras and masters of another era.

You're too hard on yourself. It is a wonderful image and the dignity of the place shines through.
