Tidal Creek - Rising

Awendaw, South Carolina

About an hour after sunrise. Several competing demands. I wanted depth
from the tripod legs all the way out. The marsh grass was shivering in an
early breeze. The tide was rushing in. The clouds were moving quickly and
spotlighting the creek line. And (of course) this was my last sheet of film.

Toyo-Field 45AII, Schneider-Kreuznach APO-Symmar 1:5,6 ƒ=150mm, Ilford HP5+

Slight front tilt to add depth. ƒ45 @ 1/15. HP5+ @ 400. Ilford DD-X 1+4 9 mins @20C.

I missed this. Perfect range of tones and excellent composition. I enjoy the expertise, seeing the marsh grass at the bottom edge leading you in and providing depth to the scene.
Lovely image.

You've captured the water movement well Colin, and the expanse. Very nicely done.

It may have been your last sheet of film but I believe you saved the best for last.
