This is a solid, hefty, Japanese rangefinder from the mid-1960s. It has an excellent lens,
and cds metering, lens mounted, but not TTL of course. It was about this time
that cds meters were replacing the older battery-free cells, giving designers
more freedom with a small cds 'eye' instead of quite a large cell 'window'.
It pays to 'advertise' to family and friends that you collect old cameras. This
trio came as one gift from a friend who has long since gone digital.
In fact, I thought it was a sign of the times that in the trio was a Olympus CAMEDIA digital camera (in
perfect order) that had been consigned to the unwanted category. Just half the megapixels
of most cell phones, although with more 'capture' options. The other camera,
a beautifully compact and stylish Pentax ME Super with a lovely lens, is a very welcome addition.
Thank you, Linda, for your generous and thoughtful gift !
