Testing, testing, testing, 1-2-3-4
One of my new 'toys' - a nicely crisp Schneider Kreuznach 150mm f/5.6 Apo-Symmar
Ignore the subject and the composition. ;-) (Yes, I need to rake the leaves.)
Light clouds with 'shallow' shadows and a few bright patches filtering through.
I set the focus to infinity, and used a medium aperture of ƒ22, so I did not
expect (or want) close objects in focus. (The lens has a range of ƒ5.6 to ƒ64).
Straight scan. A 4x5 negative test shot, scanned at 360dpi. A 4800dpi scan of
this negative at 4800dpi (max for my scanner) would create a file larger than
1100MB - and send my Mac into a tizz !
It doesn't do justice to reduce the details into a 72dpi jpeg, really. Sigh.
