Colgate Nº1

SO, I noticed this morning when I opened a new toothpaste tube box, that
one of the dimensions of the box looked to be close to 35mm film size.
Sure enough, the inside dimension was ~36mm, just right for a strip of
35mm film (which happens to be 35mm wide and a good reason we call it
35mm film, even though the size inside the sprocket holes is 24mm).

You know what came next. Make a pinhole in the center of one side, cut a strip
of Acros 100 to 8" in length, fix it inside the box, expose for 30 seconds,
and at first try an image appears. Curiosity satisfied. :-)

Better than a matchbox, I think. I like the wide angle. May be worth doing this carefully !!

Of course, I neglected E=I/r2

I seldom think about photography while I brush my teeth, but it appears that true innovators do so. As I ponder the implications that the Colgate No1 will have on the marketplace, the thought occurred to me that there is enough light fall-off that Colgate No2 could be a stereo version. :) -- Mark --
