D. EZUMAR 1:2.8 f=50mm 35mm Rangefinder
I am continuing my determined quest for the elusive Hanimex C-35, my first rangefinder,
and one of only two cameras I owned which I did not keep. (I traded it for an SLR - the
other was a Canon Demi). In my search for the Hanimex C-35, I have happily collected
the Hanimex A-35 (a lesser model), and now, the Samoca 35 M-28, an obvious A-35 twin.
Both cameras were manufactured c.1960 by Sanei Manufacturing Co. , Japan (later known
as Samoca Camera Co.). I have noted that Sears Roebuck branded the same model under
their 'Tower' nameplate. This happy discovery of the Samoca connection was made by fellow
PBaser André Bessot, and he alerted me. My search goes on. I want to find the Hanimex C-35.
Is it the Samoca MR of 1961? The MR has a f2.8 45mm Samocar lens - I believe my Hanimex C-35
had a f2.8 45mm Hanimar lens. Is it the Samoca 35-J of 1959? If you know, please join me in the search! :-)
5 Feb 09. NEW FACTS EMERGING !!! I have found a Korean blog-site with images of the Hanimex C 35,
exactly as I remember it, with 2.8 45mm Hanimar lens. It appears that it is probably not exactly
a big brother to the A-35 and Samoca M-28, based on body design. Although, it still could be a Samoca.

UPDATE. I now have the Hanimex C-35. Yea!
