and my window tells...

"People say you have to travel to see the world," Auggie reflects.
"Sometimes I think that if you just stay in one place and keep your eyes open, you're going to see just about all that you can handle."
To that end, Auggie takes one photograph a day from outside his store - a 14 years habit.
Each day, he places his tripod in the same spot, same time, and shoots whatever passes by.
"It's my project," he tells his buddy (William Hurt), "what you might call my life's work."
(Auggie (Harvey Keitel) is a character in Wayne Wang's movie *SMOKE. A true jewel).

I like this gallery very much! And I really like the Italian (French, Swiss) institution of seperate park space for motos and scooters. In Austria you have to put your bike between cars which makes no driver happy - not the biker nor the car driver...

Adal, this is a wonderful gallery and wonderful idea! Other artists have done similar things, documenting scenes or people over a specific period of time ... Andy Warhol did a film of the Empire State Building, Monet painted hay stacks and a cathedral in different seasons. I like the notion of a constant captured over time and/or space. I've been trying something similar with my fettish shots - a constant over time and in different locations. This is wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole experiment!
