On my last trip to Mexico, I decided to rent a car and drive around the different beaches of Nayarit. I found this house on Negritos beach, the villagers told me that their boat is the most priced possesion, it enables them to make a living as fishermen and to be able to built their little house. It may not look as much but they seemed very happy to be there.
