In July 2017, my friends Arnulf Kost (from Berlin) and Fahd Sultanem (from Paris) went to Brazil for visiting and photographing it. For Fahd, it was the first time here and we proposed him some traveling to the state of Minas Gerais. In that area there are several historical cities built in the 17th Century when gold and other minerals were found in Minas Gerais (General Mines). The Portuguese styled houses and buildings are still well presereved and, therefore, worthy to be visited. Sometimes we had the impressian that there are more churches than houses.
On our way back to Florianópolis, we passed in Rio de Janeiro and Paraty. The latter was a harbor from where the precisous metals and minerals left to Portugal.
