Question for the "914 Gurus": Why is the "Green Bezel" Fog Lamp Switch the same part number https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/149659467 as the Orange Bezel Fog Lamp switch? https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/150848515

Could this be because the "Green Bezel" fog lamp switch was intended for the "U.S." market while the "Orange Bezel" switch was to be used by the European community? Can anyone 'confirm' my suspicion, not just speculate? I already did that. Another 914 enthusiast indicated the "Green" is correct for the '70-72' 914-6 cars while the "Orange" covered the '73-76' 914-4 models.

My intentions are to use the "Green Bezel" fog lamp switch to control the fog/driving lamps that are housed behind the bumper and use the "Orange Bezel" switch to control the auxiliary Fog/Driving lamps that are normally mounted on the hood or at the bumper ends, see here https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/25728903
