Great whitewater rafting on the Merced River. This portion of the Merced River starts just outside Yosemite National Park. You can only raft here during the spring snow melt runoff. It is quite a wild ride when the river is running high as it was on this day. Both of the rapids shown below are Class IV. I did not take any of these photos, but I am in the raft (front left).
