There was was a monkey who decided that his life was too self-centered
and that he would dedicate himself to helping others.

"Today I will help others" he said to himself.

He ventured out along the path through the jungle, where he saw a pool.

Looking into the pool he spied a fish.

Filled with compassion, he scooped the fish out of the pool
and lodged it in a fork in the branches of a tree...

"There you are" he said, "you are safe now!"

And filled with compassion and a burning desire to help,
he went looking for other good deeds to perform.
