Fall Flip

Three out of four is BAD. I have had trouble logging
on and uploading three of the last four days. I love
so much the community here on Pbase but after MONTHS
of this latest round of trouble, it is just more
frustration and headache than I need (especially to
pay for). I am at a point where I have to pay for a
renewal but I'm worried that this new group of techs
or the owners do not have the ability to run this
site anymore. Is anybody else out there seriously
concerned???

I'm concerned too but like you, its the community keeps me here...I'm giving Pbase till the New Year (when, apparently, big things are going to happen...!!)

I have had the same dilemma two months ago, seriously considered if I would renew the subscription. It was not about the money, but the fact that everything looks so random and unstirred for a long time. But I came to the conclusion that I would miss this wonderful community and when the things are going too slow it is best to close the browser and try latter. At least the frustration is postponed :) So let's hang on some more time, Scott !
And for the photo - b r i l l i a n t !!!

Love the shot Scott!! My response to Pbase - can't find a better site and Pbase could clean up if it got its act together, don't know why they can't do something about the problems, love it so much - would pay more to get it fixed, real shame the owners won't engage!! What else is there to say!!

It's a lovely reflection shot and the slightly wobbly tree trunks are really cool!!
As for PBase - I've been looking around for ages - the others all have their faults and idiosyncrasies - at the moment I'm thinking"better the devil you know......." LOL

Yes...concerned and tired of wrestling with the slowness...I'm only staying because of the community..many of my contacts & I go back almost 6 years. What to do, what to do ??
While pbase was down I checked out Smugmug & Zenfolio...cannot make head nor tail of Flickr so I'm not looking there.

Excellent reflection! I feel your pain...Pbase conked out right after I uploaded my photo yesterday....aaaaargh! I too love the community here, but it seems things have gotten too big for them to handle :^O

I think the volume of traffic from the many challenges have put a head-slap on the PBase servers... It would be nice if the site operators kept us informed about the problems and their possible solutions. I don't want to leave Pbase, but I am now also uploading my shots to the more reliable Flickr.com.

Fall flip flop! 3 out of 4 ?? I haven't had much luck on this end either and can't even
download somedays...I saw one other member took ten hours to download one shot! What's going on??? Is PBase overloading???
