I didn't post this comic to complain about the ever growing number of the supposed
homeless and their scams at extracting money from a naively sympathetic public.

NO!!!

Believe me, Tampa Bay has the ever growing number of visible homeless who raise
the ire of an increasingly unsympathetic, biased, stereotypical minded, uncaring citizen.
More on that later.

I posted this comic because it unequivocally represents the American way. Lie, steal,
cheat and defraud in the name of the almighty dollar. The lack of ethics and morals
are openly flaunted and even revered. Ethics and morals are practice of a bygone era.

Some call it the American dream, some free enterprise, some capitalism, and some will even call it democracy.
It is woven deep into the American psyche and cultural fabric. Learned, espoused and practiced from cradle to grave.
It is pure and simple, Americana.

I have been told "Love it or leave it." But I prefer to love it and work toward a change.
I think many Americans want a change, I hope they do.

I think that given yesterday's news of major banks selling billions dollars of stock to foreign entities, Americans won't be given a choice. They will have to change because other nations are not sympathetic to us. In fact, they don't even like us. Sorry for the editorial. Thought provoking cartoon and commentary.

The average commercial advertisement shaves such thin slices off of the truth they hypnotize us into accepting them as credible.
