Basilica Mariacka

Build from the end of XIII - to begining of XV century. Gotic.
Standing by main field of Cracov (Poland)
Famous altar - made by Wit Stwosz (from Schwabia) between 1477 - 1489. The biggest wooden altar of this type in Europe - 11 x 13m. It is dedicated to Maria - the mother of Jesus. Cost - 2808 florens - at that times - value of yerly budget of Cracov, devoted by citizens.
