Daniella do you no longer share your work flow? I know some time ago I exchanged info with you but have lost my papers. I still greatly admire your work, absolutely the best also I wish I would see you more on the retouching forum. Patsy

I was wondering how you came to your final images colouring. I use the dimage 7 + R72 infared filter and in colour mode i just get reds and whites. How do you actually manage to get so many different colours in your images? Do you do a lot of post editing on them in Photoshop or another imaging software program ?

You want to learn more about infrared light? here are some very useful links for understanding near-IR, mid-IR and far-IR. What we record with our cameras is near-infrared which is not heat but reflected light from the sun that is pass what the human eye can see.

Your ir photography is stunning Daniella, as is the rest of your work.
I'm curious to know if you had any 'hotspots' using the r72 filter?
I'm using one & am finding a central hotspot in the frame on all
exposures... Just curious if you came across this problem & found a
workaround. Perhaps it is a problem specific to my camera. Again,
stunning ir work!

Hello,

To answer your question, most of them come out of my Dimage 7 with some reddish tint on them. I swap the red and blue channel to change the red sky to blue and the vegetation is naturaly different in hue. I then manualy tint the green concrete and the red. I love your IR photos. I've been using an Oly C4040Z w/Hoya R72, but my photos appear nearly monochrome. Have you done something to these in Photoshop? I also tried an E-10 w/R72, but photos appear Red, and require long exposures.
