Our last day in Morocco we drove from FEZ to TANGIERS, there to catch the fast ferry back to Spain. It was a long drive - leaving our hotel at 8.30 in the morning (after a simple breakfast) and reaching the ferry at 3 in the afternoon, with only a brief stop for a "picnic" lunch along the way. Thus all my pictures for this gallery are of the scenes outside the windows of our coach . . fertile farmland and undulating countryside being the most obvious in this part of Morocco. As we neared Tangiers, new building began to dominate the scene - signs of prosperity, perhaps.
I begin with a little black cat in the hotel's lobby - quickly shooed out by hotel staff - and I end with another little black cat that I saw as we boarded the ferry . . nothing significant in that, I suppose, but I rather liked the coincidence.
We found MOROCCO to be a fascinating country with far more to see than we might have expected - well worth visiting and whose people made us feel welcome. I'd like to go again - but next time, I would prefer to move at a more leisurely pace.
