Burgundy & Champagne Country

October 2003 - and we were spending nine days in the attractive wine country that is Burgundy and Champagne. First we began in Chablis, a modest town with an International reputation - then moved on into Burgundy and the Alsace region before winding up in Champagne country.
We were captivated by the French countryside everywhere we went, and between sampling some wonderful wines from friendly wine makers, happy to share their knowledge with us, we enjoyed some fabulous food and stayed in delightful and charming hotels.
It's difficult to take a poor photograph in France - I hope you will enjoy these glimpses that I gathered on our leisurely and pleasant wine tour of these most famous but accessible regions of this beautiful country.
