Thanks guys for all your comments. My titles may be a bit misleading - the house series is actually a selection of shots from 6 derelict houses all within 20 miles of my home in N.I.
Anyhow glad you enjoyed them.

Quite true , Bruce - its just a personal thing and it varies .I think the house photos were not in Alans gallery on my last visit - or Mr A . is visiting me - anyway they are very moving indeed . All sorts of thoughts crop up - it does not seem a very old house , yet something big happened . The series is magnificient and disturbing - my favourites are one of chair and the front door keyhole.

I fail to see why beautiful images need to be BIG to increase the pleasure of viewing them.

And ... I should have added that Internet Explorer and Avant Browser both have facility to switch on the Image Toolbar, which when mouse is hovered on any picture can offer several options, including ability to enlarge/reduce the image onscreen. In IE is under Advanced tabbed page for Properties and in AB, under Tools menu, AB Options. Thus, you could view at a larger size yourself!

A quickie re: some comments on Alan Ellison's images on the ZPS Gallery. Two members posted that the images were too small. Alan did not post those nor size them - I did. He does not have broadband and Peter Watt brought a CD with the images, so I put them on to a gallery for Alan. I had not read the comments and Alan was worried it was something he had done (he telephoned this evening) so this is to set the record straight. I had to size them all and the programme (very good) worked only in pixels, so I took a guess at the size for them all and it turned out they were slightly smaller than I would have normally made them (working in inches, that is). So, that, as said, is just to explain why and how. I would not have thought the slightly smaller size would have spoiled anyone's viewing as all the images can be viewed without scrolling. However, if as and when I get time, I may re-post slightly larger.

Some wonderful images - especailly the Autumn and Winter Series - wonderful photos - the only slight criticism I have and it is purely a personal thing is I would have preffered larger presenatations of images - for me big is beautiful - but not always .
