The grave of Sgt JS Carmichael RAF - a Spitfire pilot who was shot down on 5th September 1943. His Spitfire came down so quickly - it buried itself in 16 metres of clay on the Belgian coast. Some amateur archaeologists discovered the Spitfire and his body in 2003 and he was laid to rest in this cemetery - some 60 years after he died.
