both my parents' parents came to nyc circa 1900 and my attachment to nyc is profound, more so than i can handle sometimes. i am very afraid for her. thank you for being vigilantly there and for the pics. i spent sev weeks in a friend' daughter's apt. on christopher st. summer '04 and could not help but be crying easily ten times a day minimum. my daughters thought i was nuts. people in tribeca seemed palpably shocky still. thank g-d for nyc.

Thank you from this displaced Brooklynite (originally from Sheepshead Bay) for your vivid photos of home. It's been 20 years since I've been home, and and a lot has changed, some for the better, some for the worse. But the Bay will always be home, and again I thank you for taking me there. I grew up a block over from the Methodist Church, 2 blocks from Lundy's, and around the corner from Sheepshead Bay Rd. You should add a picture of the Ocean Ave Pedestrian Bridge that goes across the bay. That's as much a part of Sheepshead Bay as Lundy's.

yur photos of Bay Ridge are fantastic.We used to ice skate on the frozen ponds off Shore Road when the mansions were still there and there was easy access to the walks along the Narrows

See the preceeding photo. It's on 92nd St. I think it's between 3rd Ave and Ridge Blvd, but it could be one block west near Colonial Rd.
