Lexington Avenue & E 51 Street
Originally built as the RCA Building, the crown, zigzag decorations and setbacks are evocative
of the company's business. When RCA relocated to Rockefeller Center, the GE Company moved into
570 Lex. Ironically, GE later bought NBC and moved to Rockefeller Center, and 570 was donated
to Columbia University.
