i am thinking of finally getting an slr... and am looking at this camera... it is lighter and smaller than my not os perfect quick choice of a snoy r1 i bought because my point and shoot nikon was broken...
when i recently went to visiti my son on Pohnpie... you can see these shots at...http://pbase.com/donverger/pohnpei
the 30d

will have bigger screen
higher asa s usable for faster speeds and better f stops which i have not been considering much with my poit and shotts
many of my exp are 75 sec and f4... not cool for good results

... so i am thinking about getting the cannon

i realize i am working to get good shots and have shows coming up in two weeks

I think quality of your pictures are due to fact you have good lenses...
unless they change the cmos complely..wish I dought very much...there is not that much
difference betwind 20d or 300d
