A good friend of mine lost his wife, a local Doctor, in a car accident.
To help his children and others who have lost loved ones, he created a Center called Lory's Place.
It is a Grief Healing Center of Hospice at Home.
We held a "Lady Skipper Regatta" to raise money for the Center.
We got sponsors to donate money and had an auction and raffle after the race.
Each boat received a 3 second per mile favorable rating for each female crew member on the boats.
The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time.
Best of all we raised $12,000 for Lory's Place.
