The Shoreland

Nova Bila, Bosnia

I was relaxing on Viktoria's balcony when I saw the Shoreland coming up the road with Gary Knight and Ariane on the roof. It was unusually hot for Bosnia, which is why the driver's door is open. The Shoreland was built in the early 70s for the British army to use in Ireland. British soldiers laughed at us for thinking it gave us protection, but Dean Bogdanovich borrowed a K98 8mm rifle at a checkpoint, and to the amusement of the Bosnians at the control, he shot the driver side door...it didn't even chip the paint. The only downside, for my money, was that the Shoreland didn't have much brakes. It also didn't have good protection against mines. The vehicle was last seen where I left it in the parking lot of a hotel in Split. I was in San Francisco when I got a call from Jon Jones asking if I knew where it was...I hope it's being well cared for.
