Don't know Mark, but front center one rider back with his head tilted down is the later Dr. Roger Sumner from Vancouver, riding in his Crescent jersey (black shoulders-center band with script). The local Volvo dealership was importing Crescents and sponsored a team for a time--also sponsored early Gastown Gand Prix.
That is Tim Kelly, the first visible face on the right side of the road.
It ran double-truk in Bike World, a magazine which was folded into Bicycling.
This looks familiar! Was this shot used in Velonews (or whatever the magazine was called at the time)?
