These soldiers asked me to take their picture. They were on duty outside the presidential offices in Sarajevo. It was not uncommon to be stopped on the street by people who wanted their foto taken.

Hello well the guy on the left is my father he is now 50 years old now... an old guy :) but he has the heart like a few in the country he was in the first days of the war till the 94 we he went into secret service just wanna say is that he never took a picture through the war... he never wanted to be seen and the whole description of the war if false!!! The guys right of him is a pain in the ass wanted to take a pic with him in a long while so obviously said hey man quick take a pic while he is here with me... There u go just wanted everebothy to know it, not being cocky and he is a legent to me and always will be 4 times shot, commander of the thoughest unit in war the Bisers... a braveheart to me so guys there is my story thing what ever u want!! His son.

That is because they knew that tomorrow they might not be alive and take a photo !!! They hoped that somebody "out there" might see the plight and maybe "pay attention" and perhaps "do something about it " or at least let them defend themselves ( there was weapon embargo enforced on Bosnian people !!!!!). Talking about irony ...
