Soldiers in Turanj

Turanj, Croatia

Turanj was a 30 minute bus ride from Zagreb, so a lot of marginal journalists showed up, myself included. I'd never been in a war before. These two guys lived in the Karlovac area. The one on the left is Serbian. The Chetniks burned his house cause he wouldn't join up, so he joined the Croatian Army. Is the guy on the right giving me the finger? This is the front line.

Man on the left is named Aga (nickname) and man on the right is Jurka. They are Croats and from my company "WOLF" 110.brigade ZNG Karlovac. They are truly war veterans.

That's a nice M76 the guy on the right has. This shot is particularly interesting.
