This is the well at the main mosque in Sarajevo. The well water was tagged as non-potable due to infection of coliform bacteria... but drinking polluted water is safer than going to some of the sources of clean water. As a student in 1972 I sat in this peaceful courtyard and listened to a lecture on the history of the city.
