Dave Scott

Dave Scott competes in the Hagg Lake Triathlon in 1982. Scott was first out of the water and also fastest on the bike. Hagg Lake is near Forest Grove, about 30 miles west of Portland. A great triathlon venue. Dave is riding a Tim Neenan built Specialized Allez. Aero positions and triathlon-specific equipment was still a few years away. The original image is on Kodachrome. The scan was made of an Ektachrome dupe.

Jim: According to Neenan himself, the non-3Rensho Allez bikes were built by National.

This is a great gallery, James!

The Specialized Allez in not necessarily a 3Rensho. I have one just like this and it is not. Note the under-BB cable routing, not the 3Rensho style. Designed by Tim Neenan but builder unknown.

incidently the Tim Neenan Specialized Allez was built in Japan by 3Rensho!
