Before the Kinks concert they tuned up in the men's locker room. Mark Madden, a Reed student, promoted the concert. He's the guy in the leather jacket. I do not know who the other two are. It was a great concert and afterward we went swimming in the Reed pool and took a sauna. I took my Leica into the sauna, not a great idea, and shot some pictures....the camera still works 40 years later.

Hey James, the guy in the white sweater is Eric Manzer. He's the one that called and spoke with the agent for the Kinks, made the arrangements to get them to play at Reed and got the contract signed. He recalls the committee paid them $5,000 and the committee came out in the black. He thinks the treasurer of the Student Activities committee signed the contract and he thinks the Dean of Students, Jack Dudman, also signed. He can't remember who the other guy is either, thinks it might be the treasurer. Fun to see your photos! ~Molly Mulvaney (Eric's other half)
