When we moved to our home, we took over an abused situation.
Land and a house that had been a rental for a over a decade to people who didn’t care...
They were the neighbors from hell. Everyone around them put up high fences.
We were the new kids on the block and things changed.
We have been blessed by good neighbors, but our neighbor Sue...
She is pretty special. She is tough as nails and
has done work that grown men would quit and go home!
She grew up in logging camps, worked on ranches and farms.
Worked in canneries, ran heavy equipment and the list goes on..
She has nursed those who needed care in their later years.
She is one of the best cooks around and shares that gift with others.
Sue cooks down at a shelter a few times a week and provides the food on her dime.
She makes the best homemade whole wheat bread you will ever spread butter on.
Sue comes over most mornings for coffee.
The laughter, stories and sharing is a good way to start the day.
When she heads home her cats are waiting to walk her home.
She has become one of our dearest friends.
Thank you neighbor Sue!
Happy Mothers Day from your kids next door!
We love you Mom!
