Rolling Logs

Heading down Highway 101 in Kalaloch
passing through the beach strip of
Olympic National Park.
The Olympic Peninsula is a giant tree farm.
We have been up here long enough to watch
clear cuts turn back into forests and it doesn't take long.
Clear cuts are ugly and if you drive through our part of the world
and wonder how we can live with it.
How do you live in a concrete jungle?
The forest grows back!
The concrete jungle is forever!
There is always a trade off.

Nice fog shot John. And a good point about growth and regrowth versus the spread of concrete. We live in an area with a similar human/nature dynamic (smaller logs though).
