Down On The Corner

This is the corner of Prescott and Cannery Row in Monterey, CA.
Photographs were shot from inside Starbucks on the corner right
across the street through a thick pane of glass using the back
of a club chair as a makeshift tripod in less than a 12 minute
time span. Fueling the system, a Venti Toffee Nut Latte. Fueling
the soul, "O", by Damien Rice. This gallery was inspired by judemc's
29 April 05 self portrait and the opening montage of the movie "Closer".
Both of those, for perspective's sake, were inspired by Damien Rice's
"Blower's Daughter". Life is a circle, I suppose. No retouching, flash or
other unauthorized voodoo allowed. Resized from native 3008X2000 to a
quicker loading 1000X665.

Busy busy ants aplay at the hill.An interesting voyeuristic approach.I can just imagine an entire wallpaper of a million somebodys.The matrix has that bitter sweetness about it.There could be some other God with or sans camera checking anyone of us out for any or no reason at all.Sometimes you feel like a speck of tossed sand on a beach.Sometimes you feel like everyone is special, but you can't hold that unique loveable quirk long enough before it disappears into time.I love the range of everybodys in the square world eutopia.It almost captures the gamut of humaness.You hold a dangerous crystal ball :-0

David :) Have a look at the older gentleman in the last shot. He was the first to get an idea of what was going on and signalled the end of the shoot.

Nice idea, such a collection of people in such a short space of time, I can only find one image where it looks like you have been spotted. A time and a place well captured.

Oh, Chris .. this is so cool.. seriously one of the best parts, if not the best, is the beginning of the movie when they are walking on the street.. and at the end as well..Such a great idea. I want to try this!! and thanks :D ..
