Many additional murals can be seen in the Iranian Governmental Murals gallery.
There's plenty of painted art on the sides of buildings in Tehran. This is one of the most famous, grabbed from a taxi window on the way to a meeting in slow moving traffic.
It's funny - I never had anything other than kindness, consideration and friendly questions from Tehranis during my visit. This art is something the Islamic revoluationary regime puts up, yet Iran's people often have a different view.

Another side of a Tehran building displays another message from the government.
The old man wearing a turban is Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (1901-1989), the leader of the Islamic revolution (Enghelab) 1979 .
The young soldier is a Basiji Force, a mobilization force created by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini , they are extremely Radical and supported from the current leader Ali Khamenei .
The quote on the wall is also from Khamenei praising Basijies : “Nourishment and training of young god seeking Basijies was Imam’s (Khomeini) Biggest Achievement”
