7th May - The Hump

took a trip over to Wemyss Bay today,
I went on the Bute and came back on the Argyle,
there really is not much difference between the 2!

Camera is all wrapped up and being sent away for repair tomorrow
so this will be the last pic actually taken on the day for about a week or so,
I've got plenty of pics from the archive to use during the time it's gone though
most of them taken today actually so PaD will continue :-)

Nikon D50
1/250s f/8.0 at 40.0mm full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

Hi Yvonne, Bute and Argyle take 60 cars each. I suppose it depends how many were already on whether all of those get on! It would be busy with people going home from the Jazz Festival. John

Tells a great tale, well done.

Looks like if you can't take pictures of them, they will just leave ;-)

Is this the queue for the ferry? How many cars will it carry - there seems a
very long line waiting!

I think I'll ask the council to see if we can have a speed hump like this - they seem to be effective.

Quite a rush toward the ferry there. Good luck with the camera repairs too Zak !!

Lol at Northstar. It is good to know about things like your ferries. If you're sitting next to someone who you have nothing in common with you can say "Do you know the difference between the Bute and the Argyle?"

Looks like they're fleeing the island

looks a pretty place with the painted buildings. Shame the sun wasn't there today.

So has the Cabman's Rest disappeared?

Ferry interesting.

I now know more about your ferries than I have ever wanted to know! ;-)
Re your next week of pictures, I do hope you have enough wrecks to last. ;-)
